Kids grow up so quickly these days--we are often so busy that we wish we
had a way to spend more quality one-on-one time together doing fun
things. Our Adventure Guides program is a wonderful family
experience and the perfect way for fathers to spend
that quality time with their sons!
This program is designed to foster understanding and companionship and, as this relationship grows stronger, to strive to be “Friends Forever.” For the first 75 years, this program focused activities around the Native American theme. Today the YMCA Adventure Guides program promotes parent/child interaction while exploring the rich heritage of American culture. The program hosts monthly major events such as an Induction Ceremony for new members, weekend camping trips, craft projects, family picnics, hayrides, community volunteer work and many other fun adventurous outings. These events create positive learning experiences and priceless memories.
